Qualifications

• Associate degree in relevant field is required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.
• Valid State of Florida Registered Radiation Therapy license required.
• ARRT

Responsibilities

• Administers doses of radiation to specific body parts as prescribed.
• Positions patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription.
• Reviews prescription, diagnosis, patient chart, and identification.
• Maintains records including radiation dosages and equipment settings.
• Observes patient progress and reports signs of complications.
• Follows radiation protection and safety procedures.
• Operates simulated and treatment machines safely and effectively.
• Performs daily machine safety checks and reports anomalies.
• Constructs immobilization devices and blocking for conformal therapy.
• Uses imaging and planning systems for precise localization.
• collaborates with Radiation Oncologist to customize treatment plans.
• Performs simulations per physician orders.
• Acts as resource for staff and troubleshoots equipment needs.
• Adheres to University policies and safeguards assets.
