Qualifications

• 1–2 years clinical experience as Radiation Therapist preferred.
• ARRT-T certification required; state licensure as applicable.
• BCLS within 30 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers prescribed radiation therapy treatments using megavoltage equipment and verifies daily treatment parameters for accuracy before each session.
• Positions patients and adjusts equipment settings based on treatment plans, utilizing immobilization devices and alignment techniques.
• Performs daily quality assurance checks on treatment machines and simulation equipment; initiates corrective action for deficiencies as needed.
• Conducts CT simulations and obtains portal or verification images per department protocols.
• Maintains treatment records, enters treatment data into electronic systems, and ensures proper documentation of delivered doses and patient responses.
• Explains procedures and treatment expectations to patients, addressing concerns and maintaining clear communication throughout the treatment process.
