Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a skilled Radiation Therapist to administer prescribed radiation treatments in our Radiation Oncology department. You will ensure precision, patient safety, and comfort while adhering to standards set by ARRT and ASRT.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program in radiation therapy or suitable equivalent.
• NM Radiography Tech (NMRTT) required.
• Certified and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy.
• Must be certified and licensed by NM Environment Department's Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer safe and accurate radiation therapy treatments.
• Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and patient setup aids.
• Ensure precise treatment delivery, accurate data capture, and detailed records.
• Monitor patients during therapy and report unusual reactions to the oncologist.
• Comply with departmental quality assurance and safety standards.
• Verify prescriptions, treatment plans, and documentation for accuracy.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training, seminars, and licensure requirements.
• Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and professional standards.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and demonstrate initiative in patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
