Job summary

TRD Toyota Racing Development Company seeks a skilled Technician, Engine Build, to assemble and prepare production race engines for our racing teams. You will follow engineering specifications, maintain detailed build records, and ensure high-quality output across all tasks.

The role requires deep engine knowledge, hands-on experience with cylinder heads and sub-assemblies, and strong mechanical aptitude. Proficiency in Office tools supports documentation and reporting critical to TRD’s racing

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Five years’ experience in a racing engine environment.
• Hands-on engine, cylinder head and sub-assembly builds.
• Deep understanding of internal combustion engines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with precise engine build measurements and tooling (clearance, torque, stretch).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Build and prepare production race engines for TRD’s race teams.
• Assemble components according to engineering specs and procedures.
• Deliver high-quality work with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail in assembly and documentation.
• Update and maintain electronic build books with accurate component information.
• Support continuous improvement by refining processes with the team.
• Troubleshoot issues and deepen technical understanding to resolve challenges.
