Job summary

Toyota Racing Development is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Technician, Engine Build to assemble components and finalize engine builds in strict accordance with engineering specs and performance standards.

You will document build data and ensure traceability in electronic systems, while maintaining accuracy under pressure in a racing environment. You will review specifications, learn new procedures quickly, mentor technicians, and drive improvements to processes to prevent disruptions and ensure

• Minimum five years' experience in racing engine environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in engine build tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Comprehensive understanding of internal combustion engine design, high-performance race engine assembly processes, and performance validation requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail in both hands on assembly work and documentation.
• Hands on engine, cylinder head and sub-assembly build experience

• Accurately document component data and build records within electronic build blocks.
• Review and interpret build specifications; proactively identify discrepancies, errors, or opportunities to improve build processes.
• Ability to quickly learn new procedures and adjust to changing environments.
• Maintain a deep understanding of engine build processes, procedures, and quality standards.
• Demonstrate technical expertise in complex troubleshooting.
• Consistently deliver precision workmanship and high-quality output in a fast-paced racing environment.
• Mentor and guide technicians to uphold technical standards, best practices, and quality expectations.
• Take initiative in identifying process improvements, workflow efficiencies, and potential risks before they impact production.
• Anticipate and mitigate workflow challenges to ensure on-time completion of builds.
• Lead special projects and non-traditional assignments that support departmental and organizational objectives.

• Comprehensive understanding of internal combustion engine design, high-performance race engine assembly processes, and performance validation requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail in both hands on assembly work and documentation.
• Hands on engine, cylinder head and sub-assembly build experience
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with all departments.
• Ability to train and mentor assembly technicians on technical standards and quality expectations.
• Proficient with relevant software tools for documentation and reporting; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Bonus if you have Familiarity with Toyota Racing Development and motorsports industry best practices is a plus.

Salary

The annual base salary range for this position is $86,300.00 - $140,300.00.
