Job summary

Paycom is seeking a Quality Laboratory Technician to perform routine testing and ensure product conformity on a 12-hour shift in our Texas facility. You will run tensile, weld, dimensional and weight tests, verify results against specs, and escalate any Out-of-Spec findings.

Strong accuracy, speed, and attention to detail are essential. The role requires reading and applying relevant standards, maintaining traceability, and using calibrated lab equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent; manufacturing/quality experience preferred.
• Knowledge of measurement systems and laboratory measuring equipment.
• Able to read, understand, and apply company, customer, and industry specifications and testing requirements.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Experience with ASTM, DOT, ISO, NTPEP, or similar standards preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Able to work 12 hour days – 5 days per week; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tensile, weld, dimensional, weight, and other laboratory tests.
• Verify test results against specifications and acceptance criteria; escalate Out-of-Spec results.
• Maintain sample and test-result traceability; record results in designated systems.
• Properly use laboratory testing and measurement equipment; report calibration issues.
• Maintain laboratory organization and adhere to safety and documentation requirements.
