Gasser Chair Company is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Inspector in Youngstown, OH to perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of materials, components, subassemblies, and finished products throughout the manufacturing process.

The role ensures compliance with specifications and customer requirements, documents inspection results, and supports corrective actions while collaborating with production and engineering to improve quality and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and functional inspections of incoming materials, upholstered components, subassemblies, and finished products to verify compliance with company standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.
• Inspect materials and components prior to assembly to identify defects, workmanship concerns, or specification deviations before additional labor and value are added to the product.
• Conduct final product inspections prior to shipment to ensure products meet established quality standards and customer expectations.
• Accurately complete inspection reports, quality checklists, non-conformance reports, and other quality-related documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Identify, document, and communicate non-conforming materials and products while ensuring proper segregation and disposition in accordance with established processes.
