Qualifications

• Manufacturing/metal shop experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and operate machinery.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure measurements and quality.
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of shop protocols.
• Good communication and teamwork in a collaborative shop.

Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Retrieve metal materials and transfer to workstations using pallet jacks.
• Machine Operation: Operate metal shop machinery (presses, shears, cutting tools) per safety and production standards.
• Quality Control: Inspect metal parts for defects and ensure they meet specs.
• Tool Maintenance: Inspect and maintain tools and machines; report issues to Metal Shop Manager.
• Documentation: Complete production paperwork, track material usage and outputs.
• Safety Compliance: Follow PPE rules and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve metal shop processes.
• Cross-Training: Support other team members and departments as needed.
• Housekeeping: Keep workspace clean and organized, remove scrap per standards.
