Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical certification is a plus.
• Comfortable presenting findings and recommendations in meetings.
• Experience using calipers, gauges, and related inspection equipment in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, production documents, and engineering drawings.
• Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to communicate professionally via email and phone.
• Corrected 20/20 vision.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
• Must withstand long periods of sitting/standing.
• Able to regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• General knowledge of workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to support production across first-pieces, in-process, and finished goods.
• Provide frontline support to production on acceptance/rejection criteria and quality issues.
• Investigate quality issues, locate and quarantine suspect materials.
• Analyze drawings, data, and manuals to determine inspection procedures and instruments.
• Inspect/testing of materials to conform to specifications using calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Record inspection data and classify items as grade or reject; assist with CAPAs and ECNs.
• Discuss results with responsible personnel and recommend corrective actions.
• Notify supervisors of production problems and help identify solutions.
• Perform calibrations and participate in ISO audits as directed.
• Keep records of corrective actions, inspection results, and changes.
