Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical certs a plus
• Experience using calipers, gauges and inspection equipment in manufacturing
• Able to read and interpret work instructions and engineering drawings
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and able to communicate professionally

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to support factory production, including first-pieces, incoming materials, prototypes and finished goods
• Provide front-line support in acceptance/rejection criteria and quality-related questions
• Investigate quality issues; locate, quarantine, and sort suspect materials
• Analyze and interpret drawings, data and manuals to determine specs and procedures
• Inspect, test or measure conformance using instruments like calipers, gauges, and micrometers
• Record data and mark grade/acceptance status; create MRRs, CAPAs, and change requests
• Discuss results with product owners; recommend corrective actions and follow up on actions
• Perform calibrations and participate in ISO audits as directed
