Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a quality inspector to evaluate product conformance across manufacturing processes. You will interpret drawings and standards, record test data, and document deviations from established requirements.

The role requires proficiency with inspection tools, ability to read blueprints, and one year of related experience. You will also support calibration activities and operate various measurement devices on a full shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in manufacturing or engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or standards to inspect or test product throughout the manufacturing processes to determine if it is fit for conformance or customer requirements.
• Records test data, applying statistical process control procedures where applicable.
• Documents reports to validate or identify details for deviations from existing standards, where and when required.
• Supports calibration of tools and gauges as required.
• Operates various types of measurement equipment required to evaluate product conformance (i.e. various coordinate measuring machines, profilometer, hardness tester, optical comparators, various gages (calipers, micrometers, protractors, etc.)
• Coordinates activities related to Material Review Board (MRB) or supports as directed. Supports containment and/or sorting activities as requested for external or internal sorts as directed by the quality department leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.
