Job summary

PI (Physik Instrumente), LP in Shrewsbury, MA seeks a Quality Assurance Technician for full-time temp-to-perm work in the advanced manufacturing assembly department. You will inspect products, measure dimensions with precision tools, and maintain calibration records to support ISO 9001 quality standards.

The role requires reading technical drawings, 2+ years of related experience, and strong computer skills. US regulations may apply; background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in quality/control or related field.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret details.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers).
• ISO 9001, Six Sigma, 5S, 8D, kaizen or similar problem-solving experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished products to documented specs.
• Maintain inspection records, test data, and calibration databases.
• Prepare quality reports and communicate non-conformances.
• Ensure test equipment is calibrated and functioning.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality control procedures.
• Support production while preserving workflow and quality checks.
