Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• Minimum two years experience in quality control.
• Experience with operating or programming a Sheffield or Zeiss CMM preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong math skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organization skills.
• Familiar with computers and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Determines overall product quality by conducting and evaluating various visual and product tests for obvious defects.
• Routinely completes and interprets inspection paperwork and blueprints including GD&T.
• Inspects incoming jobs from sub-contractors for quality and product integrity.
• Performs in-process, first piece inspection and first article using various measuring equipment.
• Notifies QA Manager when inspection data exceeds acceptable limits or when major incidents of poor quality are detected.
• Ensures measuring equipment is calibrated within acceptable tolerances and time frame.
• Assists in development of special department projects and works with QA Manager.
