Job summary

Applied Industrial Machining, located in the Applied Aerospace division, seeks a Quality Assurance Inspector to verify dimensional accuracy and workmanship of precision-machined components. The role requires interpreting GD&T and customer specifications, using CMMs and manual gauges, and maintaining comprehensive quality records.

You will collaborate with Machinists, CNC Programmers, and Quality staff to identify nonconformances, support corrective actions, and ensure compliance before shipment.

Qualifications

• Experience performing first article, in-process, and final inspections on precision-machined parts.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
• Proficient in recording inspection results and maintaining quality documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on precision-machined components.
• Operate CMM to inspect parts using programmed routines.
• Interpret drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.
• Verify dimensions with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other gauges.
• Create, edit, and maintain CMM inspection programs as needed.
• Document results and maintain quality records and FAIRs.
