Job summary

You will resolve questions from Operators, Inspectors, and Engineers and provide inspection support across receiving, in-process, and final inspections. The role emphasizes reading and interpreting specifications, using CMM and manual inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, and contributing to lean cost-reduction projects.

Qualifications

• Strong GD&T knowledge and interpretation of drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and inspection instructions.
• Hands-on experience with CMM.
• Experience with mechanical inspection equipment.
• Proficiency with basic computer software (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Applies advanced knowledge of GD&T principles to ensure products meet requirements.
• Resolve issues and answer questions from Operators, Inspectors, and Engineers.
• Hands on Experience with CMM
• Assist Quality Engineers to develop inspection work instructions and inspection plans.
• Ensures that DRs are properly written and addressed in a timely manner.
• Participate or lead special projects related to tooling fixtures and gages.
• Identifies and drives cost reduction projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing principle.
• Provide inspection support to all departments in the organization, perform receiving, in process and final inspection of parts.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and inspection instructions to determine product conformance.
• Knowledge of mechanical inspection and proficiency in the use of manual & visual inspection equipment: e.g., Calipers, gauges, micrometers, digital indicators, etc.
• Basic computer skills (including Microsoft Office).
