Job summary

Qualified Staffing's client in Novi, MI is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform inspections, tests, and sampling of parts and components in a production environment, reading engineering drawings and specifications to verify conformance.

Responsibilities include documenting results, initiating NCRs, supporting PPAP/FAI, and communicating with production personnel, engineers, and managers to resolve quality issues. 1st shift, on-site role with pay of $22+ per hour.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years' Quality Control experience is required.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and good documentation practices.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate mechanical, electrical, weld and visual inspections of components, sub-assemblies and finished goods per engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Maintain quality standards by performing incoming, first-article, in-process, and final inspections and documenting results.
• Visually inspect all parts and components to confirm they have been manufactured correctly to ensure they are meeting safety and quality specifications.
• Initiate and follow up on Non-Conformances (NCRs) as required.
• Assist with material movement as related to non-conforming products.
• Multitask effectively in a fast-paced, physically active environment
• Perform quality audits as necessary.
• Communicate with production personnel, engineers, supervisors and managers to resolve quality issues.
• Accurately document inspection and test results.
• Evaluate returned goods (RMAs) and update ERP records.
• Assist with supplier approvals (PPAP/FAI) as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
