Job summary

Mako Industries seeks a Quality Control Inspector to visually inspect welds and perform dimensional checks on fabricated components. You will verify drawings, tolerances, weld symbols, and fit-up during cutting, fitting, welding, and assembly. You will document results and communicate issues to welders and supervision.

Applicants should be able to read engineering drawings, use measuring tools, and maintain calibration of inspection equipment while following safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Reading engineering and fabrication drawings to extract tolerances and weld symbols.
• Ability to read dimensions, tolerances, angles, and hole locations from drawings.
• Experience with tape measures, calipers, levels, squares and other measurement tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify visual and dimensional defects.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills to report quality issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of welds for workmanship and defects.
• Perform dimensional inspections on fabricated parts and assemblies.
• Record inspection results on reports and checklists.
• Communicate quality issues to welders, fabricators, supervisors, and management.
• Verify corrective actions and rework meet requirements.
• Maintain calibration of inspection equipment and comply with procedures.
