Job summary

MacKay Manufacturing Inc. is seeking an Inspector to test and inspect raw materials, machined components, and finished products against specifications. The role involves detailed dimensional evaluation and documentation of conformity and deviations.

You will work from drawings and customer specifications, using micrometers, calipers, and other gauges. Calibration of tools and AS9102 first article inspections are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GD&T and ISO 9001 principles.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word).
• Able to differentiate colors and have good visual acuity (20/25).
• Ability to read blueprints and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, machined components, and finished products per specs.
• Document inspection results accurately and promptly.
• Work from blueprints and customer specifications with some independent judgment.
• Use measurement devices like micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools.
• Periodic calibration of precision measuring equipment per calibration system.
• Perform first article inspections per AS9102.
