Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our defense-oriented manufacturing floor in Michigan. You will perform in-process inspections, read blueprints, and record measurements using precision tools to ensure conformance to MIL-SPEC, ISO 9001, and AS9100 standards.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, familiarity with QMS/ERP documentation, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Quality inspection in manufacturing, preferably defense.
• Experience with inspection tools and blueprint reading.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 preferred.
• Understanding of DoD regulations ITAR/EAR.
• Ability to document inspection results in QMS/ERP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections and record results per quality requirements.
• Conduct visual inspections of painted parts across conversion lines.
• Test products at stages of painting and coating processes incl. measurements.
• Verify paperwork and certifications at workstations.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T to confirm specs.
• Create dimensional reports using precision measuring tools.
• Support containment when discrepancies identified.
• Review data collection per drawings/models/PPAP.
• Participate in Gage R&R and SPC for improvement.
• Perform additional quality duties as directed.
