Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of QA methods and defense/aerospace quality standards (MIL-SPEC, ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and how they affect quality.
• Document inspection results within QMS and ERP systems.
• Analytical with RCA, CAPA, and SPC experience.
• Strong communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Able to work independently with high attention to detail.
• DoD regulations and ITAR/EAR compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections and record results per quality requirements.
• Conduct visual inspections of painted parts across conversion lines.
• Test products at designated stages including coating processes and pH testing.
• Ensure paperwork and certifications are present and maintained.
• Interpret blueprints to confirm specifications and tolerances.
• Create dimensional reports with precision tools.
• Initiate containment for discrepancies and support corrective actions.
• Support data collection per drawings and PPAP standards.
• Participate in Gage R&R studies and SPC efforts.
• Collaborate with engineering/production on quality feedback.
• Conduct supplier audits and assess compliance.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of equipment.
• Communicate quality issues to internal/external stakeholders.
