Job summary

American Rheinmetall in Michigan is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to ensure products meet customer standards with focus on compliance and documentation. You will inspect, repair and collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

The role requires reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and maintaining traceability in quality systems while adhering to government and industry standards with PPE provided

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of mechanical assembly experience or as a machine tool builder, preferably in defense, aerospace, or heavy industry.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and perform basic repairs with attention to quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment and more per instructions.
• Perform teardowns and repairs; use precision tools to identify non-conformities.
• Complete paperwork and maintain logs and records related to production and quality.
• Read blueprints/schematics and build to specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and quality to investigate root causes of non-conformities.
• Document inspection results and maintain traceability in quality systems.
