Job summary

Dover’s Microwave Products Group (MPG) is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform detailed inspections of manufactured mechanical parts, subassemblies and assemblies. You will read drawings, use precision tools and a CMM to verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish, and contribute to non-conformance documentation and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years in a manufacturing environment, mechanical/technical focus preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
• Able to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings and specifications to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators; program and use a CMM.
• Document non-conformances and generate inspection reports with corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production to address quality concerns and root-cause issues.
• Prepare First Article Inspection reports per AS9102 and participate as an internal auditor.
