Job summary

Q LLC in Dover, NH is seeking a Quality Inspector for weekend night shift to join our precision manufacturing team. You will perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections, using CMM and traditional metrology to ensure conformance to drawings and GD&T.

This hands-on role requires 3+ years' experience, AS9100/ISO 9001 familiarity, and ability to work Saturday and Sunday; includes a 10% weekend differential and on-site environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of quality inspection experience in precision machining, aerospace, defense, firearms, or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on CMM experience with the ability to independently set up and execute inspections.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.5.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, material certifications, and inspection documentation.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, surface plates, thread gauges, and other conventional metrology equipment.
• Experience working within an AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar quality management system.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately document inspection results.
• Ability to work independently and on the weekend night shift.
• Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays.
• Must be a U.S. Person.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-article, in-process, and final dimensional inspections of precision-machined and fabricated components.
• Operate CMM equipment to inspect complex part features and verify conformance to drawings, models, and specifications.
• Set up, align, and execute CMM measurement programs and accurately document inspection results.
• Apply GD&T principles to evaluate true position, profile, concentricity, runout, and other geometric requirements.
• Use conventional inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, surface plates, optical comparators, thread gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
• Perform visual inspections for surface finish, workmanship, cosmetic requirements, and overall part quality.
• Complete inspection reports, travelers, nonconformance reports, and other required quality documentation.
• Identify and document nonconforming material and support MRB and corrective action activities when necessary.
• Work directly with Manufacturing and Engineering to resolve inspection issues and minimize production delays.
• Follow Q's calibration procedures and ensure inspection equipment and gauges are properly maintained and within calibration.
• Support first-article inspections, audits, customer inspections, and AS9100 activities as needed.
