Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Quality Inspector to join the team in La Grange, North Carolina. The role involves calibration of gages and equipment, in-process and final inspections, and documentation to meet company requirements.

As a Quality Inspector you will read mechanical and electrical drawings, use calipers, micrometers, and CMM, and contribute to first article inspections and non-conforming material control. Strong math and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years manufacturing or quality experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and government specifications.
• Excellent math skills, conversions from English to metric and decimals to fractions on part specs.
• Knowledge of basic electrical principles.
• Use of computer software to enter receipts, first article inspection and NCMA’s.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
• Remain standing for up to 8 hours.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test electrical products and components to drawings and specifications using inspection procedures and sampling plans.
• Perform in-process, receiving, and final inspections.
• Perform complete physical inspection of components, assemblies, and packaged units.
• Record inspection data for historical records as needed.
• Quarantine non-conforming material and create non-conforming material tags.
• Complete paperwork such as serial number logs and data sheets; familiar with COC sheets.
