Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing in Missouri is seeking a dedicated quality inspector to monitor parts on the shop floor, perform first-piece inspections, and conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with customer specifications.

You will document results in Plex ERP, follow containment procedures for nonconforming parts, and participate in daily audits while supporting safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• 6 months quality experience required.
• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and gauge parts according to operator checklist to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
• Verify first piece inspection and approval per the first-piece approval process.
• Support quality containment when internal/external quality failures occur and follow containment procedures.
• Perform daily Layered Process Audits (LPA) to ensure adherence to the quality process.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work area and perform housekeeping duties.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation for production and quality records.
• Meet daily production requirements and assist multiple work centers as needed.
