Precision Fuzing and Sensors in Middletown, CT is hiring a Parts Inspector I to perform dimensional and visual inspection of complex parts, read and interpret engineering drawings, and ensure conformance to specifications. The role requires experience with precision tools, including CMM, micrometers, and calipers.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in manufacturing inspection, familiarity with AS9100/ISO9001, and basic computer skills.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector or related manufacturing experience required.
• Proficiency with shop mathematics, able to read blueprints, understand specifications, charts, tables; experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with AS9100, ISO9001, or similar highly regulated standards.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
• Basic understanding of GD&T (true position, perpendicular, parallelism, flatness).
• Basic knowledge of CMM; must be able to read/interpret.
• Detail drawing, specifications and other approved work documents.
• Familiar with FAI requirements.
• Familiar with JSTD-001 requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Perform dimensional and visual inspection of in-process and completed parts and assemblies.
• Record inspection results and complete required paperwork.
• Interpret and inspect to engineering drawings and specifications for dimensional, hardness, surface roughness, and conformity.
• Coordinate with QA engineers to communicate non-conforming conditions and obtain corrective action.
• May assist in formulating recommendations to reduce defects and improve processes.
• Instruct lower level inspectors and maintain certification documents.
• Support the material/fabrication incoming-to-line process.
• May participate in improvement activities.
• May inspect templates, jigs, fixtures and gauges as needed.
