Precision Fuzing and Sensors in Middletown, CT is seeking an Assembly Inspector to support the Operations Department. The role emphasizes dimensional and visual inspection of complex in-process and completed assemblies under minimal supervision, ensuring conformance to drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of assembly inspection experience, reads blueprints, and uses precision measuring instruments within AS9100/ISO9001 standards to maintain quality and traceability.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of assembly inspection or related manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications and interpret data.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and common metrology tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect subassemblies and finished units against drawings and specs.
• Record non-conformances and sign off documentation.
• Review test data sheets for PCBs and tip assemblies.
• Check tools, fixtures, and gauges against gauge standards.
• Coordinate with QA engineers on non-conformities and corrective actions.
• May participate in process improvement activities.
• May assist customer inspectors during concurrent inspections.
• Plot measurements on control charts as required.
