Qualifications

• Follow instructions and work in production operations.
• Maintain a positive attitude and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass a mathematics test.
• Good eyesight including depth perception, peripheral vision and color differentiation.
• Attention to detail to catch inconsistencies in parts and sub-assembly.
• Good working knowledge of using prints, instruments and gages.
• Understand engineering requirements and simple sampling techniques.
• Open to learning about various product lines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming parts to prints, specifications and industry standards using test devices and measuring instruments.
• Use blueprints to extract engineering data such as size, material and surface finish.
• Inspect first piece of production in the print shop area and where noted.
• Inspect finished sub-assemblies and final product for quality and conformance; identify defects for repair.
• Periodically inspect in-process work according to route and sampling instructions.
• Advise Line Leaders or Quality Control Engineer of unacceptable parts or finished goods.
• Disassemble and analyze defective line units to determine failure modes and report results.
• Sort scrap for assessment and record data into the MRM system.
• Maintain general housekeeping in the assigned area.
