Job summary

Drake Plastics in Cypress, TX is seeking a QC Inspector to verify precision‑machined parts meet drawings, GD&T, and customer requirements. You will perform first‑piece, in‑process, final, and first article inspections with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and indicators, and maintain accurate inspection reports and related documentation.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in quality inspection, read engineering drawings, and can support second‑shift production in a regulated manufacturing

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of quality inspection experience with machined parts.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Ability to work independently and support second‑shift production.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and customer requirements.
• Complete first-piece, in-process, final, and first article inspections with precision measurement tools.
• Maintain accurate inspection reports, FAI documentation, QC releases, and nonconformance records.
• Collaborate with machinists to resolve dimensional/quality issues and reduce scrap.
• Support calibration, MRB, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
