Qualifications

• Ability to perform diversified inspection duties and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Experience reading charts, tables, prints, parts and product data and general instructions.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, micrometers, fixed gauges.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts and finished products for quality, appearance and performance.
• Set up standard gauging, measuring and testing devices as needed to verify conformity to specs.
• Operate equipment such as hardness tester, tensile tester, vibration and fatigue testing equipment.
• Record inspection and testing results and provide summaries for supervisor review.
• Stop production when defects become excessive and document findings.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and perform minor maintenance on equipment.
• Move and handle materials as required and segregate/reject nonconforming items.
• Follow safety regulations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
