Job summary

JST Corporation in Waukegan, IL is seeking a detail-oriented 2nd Shift Quality Control Inspector to verify products and materials throughout manufacturing, ensuring they meet stringent quality and safety standards. You will inspect incoming materials, monitor production quality, and check outgoing products for excellence at every step.

The role requires reading blueprints, using measurement tools, and documenting results.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and work instructions to understand quality expectations.
• Good written skills to verify records accurately.
• One to three years of related experience to quality.
• Keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
• Able to use handheld measurement equipment (caliper, micrometer, attribute gauges) and non-contact devices.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• High School Diploma; further qualifications will be a plus.
• Basic mathematic and English skills.

Responsibilities

• Approve or reject incoming raw materials with respect to quality standards.
• Approve or reject finished product with respect to quality standards.
• Check samples using measuring dimensions, testing functionality and comparing to specifications.
• Maintain testing and inspection records.
• Complete required internal documents when needed (NCR/ SQI).
• Monitor equipment to ensure it is safe, well-maintained and calibrated.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Quality management.
