Job summary

Dover Precision Components in Houston (Bearings Plus) is seeking a Quality Control Engineer to lead inspection and quality-control activities across repair, manufacture and upgrade of fluid-film bearings and sealing products.

You will develop inspection plans, verify critical characteristics, and support continuous improvement initiatives while working with Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain to ensure conformance to drawings and quality systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
2+ years of quality-control/inspection experience in precision machining or similar.
Ability to read drawings, tolerances and specifications and apply GD&T.
Experience with nonconforming material, CAPAs and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Carry out inspection of bearings, seals and machined parts for releases and returns.
Develop and maintain inspection plans for receiving, in-process and final checks.
Verify dimensions, tolerances and surface conditions and ensure traceability.
Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions to reduce defects.
