Job summary

A leading precision manufacturing firm in Maine is seeking a Quality Technician to perform inspections and testing of components. The role requires knowledge in blueprint reading and AS9100 quality systems, along with proficiency in measurement tools. Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional, visual, and functional checks on components.
• Read and apply blueprints, GD&T, material specs, and engineering drawings.
• Generate inspection reports and maintain quality logs.
• Calibrate inspection tools and perform basic maintenance.
• Manage SPC, run capability studies, and analyze data.
• Identify issues and support root cause analysis.
• Ensure adherence to AS9100, FAA, and company quality policies.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams.

Skills

Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM)

Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge

Understanding of Aerospace Quality Systems (AS9100)

Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, PPAP

Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Familiarity with ERP or Quality Management System (QMS) software

Exceptional attention to detail

Education

High school diploma required

Associate degree in Quality Management or a technical field preferred
