Job summary

Roush Yates Engines in Mooresville, NC is seeking a detail‑driven Quality Control Technician to inspect parts, perform dimensional testing, and ensure products meet our stringent quality standards. You will collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Design and Purchasing to resolve issues and prevent defects.

You will operate CMMs and vision systems, review data, generate nonconformance reports, calibrate gages, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years operating CMMs or programmable inspection equipment; PC-DMIS or CMM Manager experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprints, gaging, and dimensional measurement methods.
• Knowledge of ISO and calibration requirements.
• Technical certificate or associate degree in manufacturing or related technical field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; Access preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual, visual, dimensional, and attribute inspections and document results.
• Operate and, when qualified, program CMMs, vision systems, Formtracer, and other inspection equipment.
• Review inspection/DCC data and generate nonconformance reports.
• Analyze defect and dimensional data to support corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Verify, maintain, and ensure proper calibration of inspection gages and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
