Job summary

Roush Yates Engines is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure the quality, safety, and integrity of our manufactured parts. In this role, you will perform inspections and dimensional testing, analyze data, identify nonconformances, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Design, Purchasing, and other teams to resolve issues and prevent repeat defects.

• GD&T, blueprints, gaging, and dimensional measurement methods.
• Knowledge of ISO and calibration requirements.
• Certificate or associate degree in manufacturing or related technical field.
• MS Word, Excel, Outlook; Access preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and integrity of our manufactured parts.In this role, you'll perform inspections and dimensional testing, analyze data, identify nonconformances, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Design, Purchasing, and other teams to resolve quality issues and prevent repeat defects.

What You'll Do

• Perform manual, visual, dimensional, and attribute inspections and document results.
• Operate and, when qualified, program CMMs, vision systems, Formtracer, and other inspection equipment.
• Review inspection/DCC data and generate nonconformance reports.
• Analyze defect and dimensional data to support corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Verify, maintain, and ensure proper calibration of inspection gages and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience operating CMMs or other programmable inspection equipment; CMM programming experience (PC-DMIS or CMM Manager) preferred.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprints, gaging, and dimensional measurement methods.
• Knowledge of ISO and calibration requirements.
• Certificate, associate degree, or equivalent experience in manufacturing or a related technical field.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; Access experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Position Requirements

• Ability to perform repetitive inspection tasks for periods of time.
• Good written documentation skills.
• Meet minimum vision standards, corrected or uncorrected, as follows: Snellen 14/18, 20/25 or better, Jaeger Type 2 at 14 inches, or Ortho-Rated 8.
• ITAR compliance requires the individual to be a 'U.S. person' (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
