Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Punch Operator to join the manufacturing team in the United States. The role supports production goals by setting up and operating punching machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality parts through inspection and adherence to drawings.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, prior punch operation experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Safety and teamwork are emphasized in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings preferred.
• Ability to interpret measuring instruments and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate, and adjust machines and equipment as needed to produce quality parts.
• Use of calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure quality standards.
• Follow drawings or work orders as provided by a team leader.
• Read/interpret blueprints and make minor adjustments as necessary.
• Must be able to maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area and comply with all safety rules and procedures.
• Must work efficiently while keeping safety, quality and production standards in mind at all times.
• To promote a team-oriented atmosphere at all times.
• Any other task asked by the leadership team.
