Job summary

Ernst Instruments seeks a versatile individual to perform hands-on production and maintenance in our Sparta Township facility. The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to operate various machines, and basic computer use for tracking and labeling.

You will fabricate, assemble, package, and ship products, perform inventory checks, assist with maintenance, and support quality control while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with listening, consultative and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities at a time and be self‑motivated and proactive.
• Function and thrive in a team environment with an appreciation of aggressive goals.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble products for orders across product lines.
• Operate most machines in the warehouse and use measuring tools.
• Assist with Packing and Shipping; leverage labeling systems for domestic and export shipments.
• Maintain machinery and follow monthly maintenance schedules.
• Perform inventory control counts and organize supplies.
• Adhere to quality control procedures and safety requirements.
• Access data in computer systems and navigate labeling and inventory software.
• Perform miscellaneous duties and assist with customer interactions as needed.
