Job summary

LaMotte Company seeks a Production Technician to operate and maintain manufacturing equipment in Chestertown, MD. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to multitask while meeting safety and quality standards.

The position works 1st shift, with a pay rate of $17-$19 per hour, non-exempt, with overtime, holidays, and shift differential opportunities. Benefits include PTO and health/dental/vision insurance, plus 401(k) with employer match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; chemical handling experience preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Good judgment, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team; overtime as needed.
• Able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication with production personnel, R&D, and QC.
• Able to wear chemical cartridge respirator.
• Able to transport up to 40-50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains manufacturing equipment with proper training.
• Maintains and records accurate machine performance and product samples.
• Assists in daily equipment setup for any machine as needed.
• Attends and participates in designated shift huddles.
• Ensures production rates and quality standards are met and addresses issues.
• Transports product using pallet jacks and carts.
