Job summary

USG is seeking a production operator to adjust equipment and perform quality checks to ensure specifications are met. You will record production numbers in the MDIS system and perform routine equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities include changing settings during changeovers, entering data accurately, and adhering to safety and housekeeping standards. forklift certification or ability to obtain is required or encouraged.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a manufacturing setting safely and follow plant safety rules.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Read measuring devices including tape measure and micrometer.
• Read and complete documented inspection procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Learn to operate plant equipment and use hand tools.
• Troubleshoot minor process issues.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers.
• Identify unsafe conditions and follow safety practices.
• Cooperate across safety, quality, production and maintenance areas.
• Retain procedures for continuous use.
• Monitor product specifications with online tools.
• Make adjustments to keep product within specs.
• Forklift certified or willing to acquire certification.
