Job summary

KDM in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Press Operator to set up and run a semi-automatic press per job tickets, specs, and safety guidelines. You will verify paper stock, color, and substrate, print proof sheets, and secure approvals before production.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Printing or press operation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read Job Ticket to verify quantity, overrun tolerance, color sequence, and paper stock.
• Verify size, color, and type of substrate, as well as color of ink from Job Ticket.
• Printing proof sheets, checking registration and color matches against the Job Ticket, and securing Manager approval prior to the production run.
• Collect production run samples as required.
• Ensuring quality assurance by continuous inspection of job specifications.
• Adhering to all SOPs, Safety, PPE, Productivity, and 6S requirements.
• Performing and completing all other work duties as assigned, including helping in other departments as needed.
