Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking a dependable Press Operator to set up, operate, and monitor mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic press equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and adherence to work orders and quality specifications.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical Aptitude, basic math skills, and the ability to learn machine setup with attention to detail. Overtime may be required, and PPE is mandatory on site.

Qualifications

• Experience operating press machines, stamping presses, or related manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings, schedules, and safety procedures.
• Basic math skills for measurements, adjustments, and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up, operate, and monitor stamping and press equipment.
• Produce quality parts per work orders, drawings, and schedules.
• Load/unload materials and finished parts from press equipment.
• Perform measurements and quality inspections during production.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures to verify dimensions.
• Visually inspect parts for defects and identify non-conforming products.
• Maintain production records and quality checks in systems.
• Follow safety procedures, including LOTO and PPE requirements.
• Report safety concerns or equipment issues to supervision.
