Job summary

QPS Employment Group has a great Press Operator position in O’Fallon, MO. This 1st shift role runs 6:00am–4:30pm, Monday–Thursday with potential overtime Friday. You will operate presses, load parts, inspect products and keep the work area clean.

Typical duties include basic measurements with calipers/micrometers, reading blueprints, following safety rules, and maintaining production reports. GED or high school diploma preferred; on-the-job training available. Immediate hiring.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; or 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and read blueprints.
• Ability to understand written, verbal or diagrammed instructions.
• Stand for long periods up to 10 hours; lift up to 50 lbs with assistance if needed.

Responsibilities

• Produce parts to specification as a resistance/robotic welder, hand loaded press operator, inspection/packaging, and/or press helper
• Follow safe work procedures and general plant rules while performing the job.
• Maintain a well-organized, clean work area
• Ensure the required parts and materials are available
• Perform job tasks as outlined on the Production Training Outline for the job task being performed
• Perform basic measurements and monitoring with caliper, micrometer, scale & gauges
