Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a Specialty Cutter to cut and trim chicken products to specification on a moving conveyor. You will read scales, verify weights and product codes, and ensure equipment is functioning properly while supporting safety and quality standards.

You’ll participate in team meetings, apply BEST practices, and help drive cohesiveness across shifts. The role requires physical stamina for standing, bending, and handling heavy loads in a poultry processing environment.

Qualifications

• Clear ability to read and understand scale and product numbers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with leadership.
• Ability to work with team to implement best practices and maintain cohesiveness.

Responsibilities

• Uses knives to cut and trim chicken pieces to meet standards and reads scales for sizing.
• Monitors weight, code and shape requirements; notifies management when equipment or table is not in working order.
• Works on a moving conveyor belt, packs and weighs products, and pulls bones from product.
• Supports team concepts and Lean practices; participates in team meetings and implements policies.
• Maintains awareness of operating systems and safety procedures; adheres to PPE requirements.
• Moves, pushes or pulls up to 55 pounds; performs duties in cold, wet, noisy environments.
