Job summary

Vertiv Co is seeking a Plating Tester to support plating operations by inspecting, testing, and verifying the quality of plated components throughout the manufacturing process. You will conduct visual and dimensional inspections, perform coating thickness and adhesion testing, document results, identify defects, and ensure products meet customer specifications, engineering requirements, and company quality standards.

This role emphasizes quality, process compliance, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience in quality control or manufacturing inspection preferred.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.

Responsibilities

Perform visual inspections of plated components for appearance and finish quality.
Conduct coating thickness measurements and adhesion testing.
Utilize micrometers, gauges, and coating thickness testers for inspections.
Review product specs, drawings, and quality documentation.
Accurately document inspection results and maintain records.
