Job summary

Selfridge Plating is seeking a Plater to perform metal finishing and plating operations in line with customer specs, procedures, and quality requirements. You will prepare, process, and inspect parts while maintaining proper documentation and safe work practices.

Responsibilities include reviewing work orders, loading parts, operating plating tanks, monitoring process parameters, and inspecting for coverage and defects to ensure parts meet requirements before the next operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in plating, metal finishing, or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions, routers, and specs.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work safely around chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Review work orders, routers, and specs before starting.
• Prepare parts for plating by loading and positioning them.
• Operate plating tanks according to procedures.
• Process parts through cleaning, rinsing, plating, and finishing steps.
• Monitor process parameters, temps, and electrical settings.
• Visually inspect parts for coverage and defects.
• Maintain documentation and traceability of parts.
• Follow safety, PPE, and environmental procedures.
