Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Orlando, FL is seeking an Optical Pattern Operator to operate and maintain photolithographic production equipment in a cleanroom. You will load parts, align fixtures, and monitor deposition processes to produce high‑precision optical components for defense systems.

The role requires experience in manufacturing environments, ability to read engineering drawings, and comfort working in a cleanroom with hazardous chemicals.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environments or with production equipment/test machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, process plans and flow diagrams.
• Experience working in a cleanroom and wearing cleanroom attire for extended periods.
• Experience with hazardous chemicals and handling of optics components.
• Basic computer skills.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this facility.
• Willingness to work 1st, 2nd, or weekend shifts as defined by the agreement.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust photolithographic equipment including coating, deposition, and cleaning stations.
• Align and load optical parts into fixtures, applying pattern and deposition masks with manual and computer-controlled tools.
• Perform metal lift-off, etch, and other micron-scale processes while monitoring process parameters.
• Inspect parts using gauges, microscopes, and electronic instruments; record results in production logs.
• Maintain a cleanroom work area, follow safety procedures, and perform routine equipment maintenance.
