Lockheed Martin Missiles & Fire Control in Orlando, FL is seeking an Optical Coater for the Optical Components Center (OCC). You will operate and maintain coating equipment for single and multi-layer thin film applications, coating lenses, prisms, mirrors, and test plates.

You will inspect, document parameters, troubleshoot defects, follow safety rules, and support 2nd shift per UAW. Join a team delivering advanced optical components for weapon and sensor systems.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions, schematics and drawings.
• Experience with precision tooling and metrology.
• Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift as required by the bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

• Interpret manufacturing process plans and MIL specs to coat optics.
• Operate and maintain coating equipment for thin-film applications.
• Perform inspections and document process parameters in tracking systems.
• Troubleshoot defects and adjust variables to sustain quality and yield.
• Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations.
