Job summary

Rocket EMS in Carson City, NV is seeking a Test Operator to perform in-circuit, functional, and system-level testing of PCB assemblies. You will operate ICT, functional testers, and boundary-scan systems, recording results and assisting engineers to resolve issues.

The role requires 1–2 years in electronics manufacturing, basic electronics knowledge, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. This on-site position offers 8-hour shifts, 401(k) with company match, and health benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Technical coursework in electronics preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or test operations.
• Familiarity with ICT, functional test, or system-level test equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review traveler documents, MPIs, ECOs, and customer requirements prior to test.
• Operate ICT, functional testers, boundary scan systems, and other automated/manual test equipment.
• Perform electrical and functional verification of PCB assemblies according to established procedures.
• Accurately record test results, log failures, and maintain test documentation.
• Identify, classify, and isolate failures; escalate issues to technicians or engineers for debug.
• Ensure all test equipment is set up, calibrated, and functioning properly before use.
• Follow ESD, MSD, and safety protocols during all handling and test operations.
• Communicate daily pass-downs to leads, supervisors, and engineers.
• Support NPIs and engineering builds by running test programs and providing feedback.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to test yield, throughput, and reliability.
