Job summary

Rocket EMS in Carson City, NV is seeking a Test Operator to perform in-circuit, functional, and system-level testing of PCB assemblies. You will operate test equipment, follow procedures, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues.

The role requires attention to detail and a commitment to quality in a fast-paced production environment, with opportunities to support NPIs and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; electronics coursework preferred.
• 1–2 years in electronics manufacturing or test operations.
• Familiarity with ICT, functional, or system-level test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review traveler documents and customer requirements before testing.
• Operate ICT and functional testers and other test equipment.
• Verify PCB assemblies per procedures.
• Record results and log failures.
• Identify and escalate failures to technicians or engineers.
• Ensure test equipment is calibrated and functioning.
• Follow ESD/MSD and safety protocols.
• Communicate daily pass-downs to leads and engineers.
• Support NPIs and engineering builds by running tests.
• Participate in CI initiatives related to yield and reliability.
