Job summary

Rocket EMS in Carson City, NV, is seeking an AOI/AXI Operator to verify PCB assemblies meet quality standards. You will program and maintain AOI/AXI systems, perform first article verifications, and escalate defects while adhering to IPC-610 guidelines.

The role requires attention to detail, strong IPC knowledge, and the ability to make confident quality decisions in a fast-paced environment. On-site position with growth opportunities in electronics manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in electronics inspection, AOI, or AXI operations.
• IPC-A-610 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review job documentation prior to inspection.
• Operate AOI and AXI equipment to inspect PCB assemblies.
• Perform First Article Inspections per IPC-A-610 (Class 2 and 3).
• Analyze inspection data to identify and classify defects.
• Verify solder joints, component alignment, and hidden connections.
• Stop production for major defects or systemic issues.
• Document results and communicate findings to leads/supervisors.
• Raise Technical Inquiries for discrepancies before release.
• Support other inspection needs as directed by supervision.
• Follow procedures for ESD/MSD handling and safety.
